Recognising the unique needs of students in alternative provision, we maintain robust policies and procedures that go above and beyond statutory requirements. All staff at Pinnacle AP receive regular, in-depth safeguarding training, ensuring they are equipped to identify, respond to, and report any concerns regarding a student’s safety or welfare. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and their deputies are always accessible, providing expert guidance and support to both staff and families.

To further strengthen our safeguarding practices and ensure meticulous record-keeping, Pinnacle AP proudly utilises a dedicated software system. This advanced platform is a vital tool, enabling us to:
- Record Progression: Track the journey of each student, noting positive developments and any emerging needs.
- Log Updates: Ensure all relevant information, observations, and interventions are documented in real-time.
- Manage Concerns: Provide a secure and systematic way to record and manage any safeguarding concerns, from low-level worries to more serious issues.
- Generate Reports: Produce comprehensive and detailed reports quickly and efficiently, invaluable for reviews, inspections, and multi-agency meetings.
Crucially, this safeguarding software facilitates seamless and secure sharing of information with involved professionals and external agencies. This ensures that a holistic and informed picture of each student’s needs is readily available to those who need to know, fostering effective collaboration with local authorities, social services, and other support networks. By leveraging this technology, we ensure that no concern goes unnoticed, and that timely, coordinated action can be taken to protect and support our students, always in line with data protection regulations and confidentiality protocols.
